General Description Climbing perennial with heart-shaped leaves.
Seedlings Most milkweeds emerge from overwintering rootbuds. Cotyledons are oval if present.
True Leaves and Stem Leaves are opposite, smooth, heart-shaped, and have entire margins. Stems are trailing vines with long internodes.
Roots Rhizomes.
Flower and Fruit White corolla flowers with green or purple tinged calx lobes. Seeds are flat and ovate with white silky hairs attached.
